This is a set of 6 pre-sterilized 1/2 pint PF Tek style jars of mushroom substrate for growing many types of edible and medicinal mushrooms.
These jars are the tried and true proven PF Tek method of Organic Brown Rice Flour, Horticultural Vermiculite, and Water that was perfected over years of research by mycologists to be the ideal mixture that provides both the proper nutrients, as well as the dry vermiculite barrier for contaminants that is so crucial to premium performance.

Note that these jars can be used successfully for a number of mushroom species, as most mushrooms will flourish on a grain based substrate. Our jars will be available with either 2, 3, or 4 3/32" innoculation holes pre-punched based upon your request. (The standard will be 4 holes if you don't specify.) We may offer jars with NO innoculation holes in the future, however we want to be able to stand behind our No Contamination Guarantee and cannot guarantee sterility of the jars once they are opened to the elements.
